This six-member Country/Bluegrass band got its start at a music school in Obninsk, Russia. The band has since made its way Nashville, landed a recording contract, created a hit album and even earned a 2003 Grammy nomination. Bering Strait has been the subject of a document film, The Ballad of Bering Strait, and featured on 60 Minutes. In this performance, the group of classically trained musicians will show their range by performing everything from Country and Bluegrass tunes to Russian folksongs they have set to traditional Bluegrass music.
