The critically-acclaimed comedy/musical "The Producers," adapted by Mel Brooks from the 1968 film, tells the story of two theatrical producers who hatch a "get rich quick" scheme to oversell interest in a Broadway show that is sure to flop. To be sure of this, the duo includes homosexuals, Nazis, and a slew of show-biz jokes sure to offend. But, complications (and comedy) arise when the show is a hit. "The Producers" is a Broadway favorite that has garnered a record-breaking 12 Tony Awards, most notably for Best Musical, Best Costume Design, and Best Original Score.
